More than 250 attendees dined recently at the Skirvin Hilton, in Oklahoma City, for
the special "Statewide Tribute to OKIE's Melvin Moran," of Seminole. The unique
group comprised Gov. Brad and Kim Henry, several Oklahoma legislators, Cabinet
members and business leaders. Moran has contributed much to Oklahoma tourism,
energy and banking, as well as being the founder of the nationally acclaimed
Jasmine Moran Children's Museum in Seminole, named in honor of his wife, who
also attended.
